Distribution of 2000 Food Parcels and Assessment of the Tsantsabane Hospital and its Readiness for the COVID - 19

Through public private partnerships we are able to ensure that deserving households throughout the Northern Cape receive the much needed relief, especially during a time where they are encouraged to stay at home in an effort to flatten the Coronavirus infection curve.
The Northern Cape Provincial Government led by Dr Zamani Saul in partnership with Kumba Iron Ore led by the CEO Mr Themba Mkwanazi on Friday 17 April 2020 spent the day in the Tsantsabane Municipal area, distributing over 2 000 food parcels to the community members. The Premier had the opportunity to assess the capacity of the Tsantsabane Hospital and its readiness for the COVID-19. The Department of Health in partnership with Kumba Iron Ore have ensured that Quarantine sites are set up and have made provision for screening and testing.
Premier, Dr Zamani Saul in his address during a briefing session at the District Joint meeting expressed his heartfelt appreciation on behalf of the entire Provincial Government to Kumba Iron Ore for ensuring that together we lessen the burden on our poor communities during this time.
