The Premier of the Northern Cape, Dr Zamani Saul, will lead a two day Provincial Inter-Faith Summit scheduled to take place 11-12 August 2022 in Upington. The Summit in the main is aimed at consulting with faith-based leaders on their role in combatting TB, HIV and Sexually Transmitted infections in our communities in order to develop long-term and impactful resolutions.
The Summit is also a response to the call for collaboration made by the Deputy President of the country, Mr David Mabuza, to the Religious Sector earlier this year, as part of the National World TB Day commemoration that was held in Barkley West, near Kimberley in the Northern Cape.
Collaborating with the Northern Cape Provincial Government on this important initiative will be the South African National AIDS Council (SANAC), the Inter-Faith Community and the Moral Regeneration Movement in the Province.
In attendance will be 200 constituency-based representatives from the different faith movements that are active in the Province.
Members of the media are invited to participate and cover the two day Summit, which is scheduled to take place as follows:
Date: 11-12 August 2022
Venue: Full Gospel Church, Jan de Klerk Road, Upington
Time: 09:00
