The Northern Cape Department of Health has committed to appointing additional staff at the Groblershooop Community health Centre with the ultimate goal of transforming it into a 24-hour facility.
 
The MEC for Department of Health, Maruping Lekwene convened the meeting along with the leadership of !Kheis Local Municipality ward Councillors and Senior Department Officials to focus on enhancing medical services. 

Spokesperson for the MEC for Health, Lebogang Mahaja stated that the Department has handed out a thorough plan of action to promote the optimal utilization and allocation of available resources.  Mahaja further added that the Department is committed to appointing more staff at the local health-care facilities, as well as emergency medical services.
