Premier of the Northern Cape, Dr. Zamani Saul hosted an extended Lekgotla on Monday, 3 March 2025, emphasising on systems thinking and strategic execution to drive progress in the Northern Cape.

A few key achievements from the 6th administration reflected on in the Lekgotla:
R35 billion economic growth in 5 years – from R117bn in 2019 to R152bn in 2024
19 new schools & 11 new clinics built, improving education & healthcare! -
84% Matric pass rate - a massive 18% increase since 2020!
R25 billion investment in infrastructure to create jobs & transform the province
8 clean audits - proof of good governance & accountability

FUN FACT? The Northern Cape will be hosting the G20 energy stream in April, putting Kimberley on the global stage as it will be their first gathering in Africa. Previously hosted in India (2023), Bali, Indonesia (2022), Rome, Italy (2021), Oska, Japan (2019) and Hamburg, Germany (2017).
