It is responsible to manage and coordinate International, Provincial and Local Government relations, official development assistance and protocol services.

Promote intergovernmental relations and stakeholder management between the three spheres of government in the province.

• To promote effective intergovernmental Relations (IGR) by adhering to the IGR Framework Act
• To Promote sound international relations
• To provide; government Protocol Management; Services
• To coordinate and manage (ODA) donor funding

Functions

• The providing of support to the Office of the Premier in terms of the inter-spheric IGR function, by keeping updated with latest developments.
• The rendering of services pertaining to international travels.
• The handling of all matters pertaining to protocol.
• The rendering of services pertaining to donor funding
