EXTENDED EXCO LEKGOTLA | Building a Better Northern Cape

Premier of the Northern Cape, Dr. Zamani Saul hosted an extended Lekgotla on Monday, 3 March 2025, emphasising on systems thinking and strategic execution to drive progress in the Northern Cape.

A few key achievements from the 6th administration reflected on in the Lekgotla:
R35 billion economic growth in 5 years – from R117bn in 2019 to R152bn in 2024
19 new schools & 11 new clinics built, improving education & healthcare! -
84% Matric pass rate - a massive 18% increase since 2020!
R25 billion investment in infrastructure to create jobs & transform the province
8 clean audits - proof of good governance & accountability

FUN FACT? The Northern Cape will be hosting the G20 energy stream in April, putting Kimberley on the global stage as it will be their first gathering in Africa. Previously hosted in India (2023), Bali, Indonesia (2022), Rome, Italy (2021), Oska, Japan (2019) and Hamburg, Germany (2017).

The Northern Cape Provincial Government remains committed to growing all aspects of the Province and ensuring a better life for all.

Feedback Session in Richmond 

Community members have come out in their numbers to access Government Services at the Richmond Grassroots Community Hall. 

Premier Dr. Zamani Saul together with the Members of the Executive Council are back in Richmond for a feedback session.

True to a commitment made in March during the Exco Outreach program, the Premier, Dr. Zamani Saul and the Executive Council have returned to Hopetown to provide feedback to the community members who raised a number of issues during that interactive session. 

Community members are also accessing Government services, these include Home Affairs, SASSA, Department of Health and many others.
