Deputy Minister of Small Business Developement, Dipuo Peters, joined by MEC Venus Blennies from the Ministry of Women, Youth, People with Disabilities, e-Government and Communication, hosted the Informal and Micro Enterprise Development Programme (IMEDP) today to handover equipment and machinery to informal business owners in Pampierstad, Northern Cape.

The ceremonial handover is a nationwide trajectory to accelerate the growth of informal and micro enterprises by improving their competitiveness and sustainability in becoming formal businesses in the mainstream economy.

Governmnent is committed to the needs of rural communities and pays special focus to young people and women as well as informal traders. 

The Deputy Minister hopes to see the equipment efficiently used going forward.
