The Premier of the Northern Cape, Dr Zamani Saul, will tomorrow, 2nd May 2024, officiate the opening of the Northern Cape Economic Development Trade, Investment Promotion Agency (NCEDA) building. Premier Saul will be accompanied by the MEC for Finance, Economic Development and Tourism, Mr Abraham Vosloo, Executive Mayors from Frances Baard District Municipality and Sol Plaatje Municipality and Senior Officials from the NCEDA team.

The opening of the NCEDA building is a significant step towards the integration of different entities, such as the Northern Cape Tourism Authority (NCTA), Mme Re Ka Thusa Trust Fund, Kalahari Kid Corporation (KKC), and Vehicle White Fleet, into a single institution, known as NCEDA. This decision has been approved by the Provincial Administration and is supported by the National Treasury, and it demonstrates our commitment to rationalising public entities for improving service delivery, cost-effectiveness, and efficiency.

This facility will act as a hub for shared services. It will provide our people access to a wide range of resources and support mechanisms related to promoting trade and investment. It represents our shared dedication to enabling our citizens to participate fully in the socio-economic growth of our province, through a diverse economic portfolio and catalytic projects identified for sustainable development.

As we begin this new chapter, we reaffirm our dedication to fostering a vibrant business ecosystem by creating an enabling environment for sustainable growth. The unveiling of the NCEDA building signifies our unwavering commitment to driving economic development, prosperity, and inclusive growth for all residents of the Northern Cape.

The launch will bring together all stakeholders and partners who have contributed to the realisation of this milestone.

Members of the media are invited to attend and cover the event as follows:
