Premier Dr ZamaniSaul has inadvertently but rightfully so captured the attention of both media houses and the public alike since he assumed office as the Premier of the Province and announced his vision of a Modern, Growing, Successful Province to the country.
On 24 July 2019, Mr Thabo Makweyafrom Solomon Star Newspaper in Kimberley had the opportunity to engage with the Premier in a recorded interview where amongst others, issues of the recently increasing number of land grabs in Galeshewe, Youth Unemployment, Women Empowerment and the Northern Cape Mining Company were covered.
Premier Dr Saul shared his belief that a vigorous multi-pronged approach was needed between government and the private sector if any of the challenges facing the local communities are to be dismantled and overcome.
“ We acknowledge that our municipalities have serious challenges relating to technical, financial management and revenue generation capacity and this is why we are working on the Northern Cape Growth and Investment Council where representatives of communities, experts in various fields, the state and private sector will engage robustly to bring about practical solutions.”
