The Northern Cape Provincial Government in partnership with Gift of the Givers today joins millions of people globally in observing World AIDS day in Kenhardt in the ZFM district, under the theme End Equalities. End AIDS. End Pandemics.
During the programme held in Kenhardt to observe World AIDS Day, Premier Dr Zamani Saul encouraged the people of the Province to ensure that they know their status. Premier encouraged those who are negative to remain negative and to those who are positive to ensure that they continue taking their medication and take care of others around them. Premier further encouraged males to ensure that they get circumcised if they haven't yet. Male circumcision reduced the contraction of HIV by 60%. This however does not mean that once circumcised you are unable to contract HIV. Make sure you condomise and practice safe sex.
On behalf of the Gift of the Givers, Mr Ali Sablay announced the Partnership that they will have with the Northern Cape Provincial Government to ensure that we take hands for the betterment of the lives of the people of this Province. This is a partnership that is most welcomed and more information will be communicated in the new year.
