The scholarship is administered by the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. It is aimed at contributing to the development needs of Australia’s partner countries in line with bilateral and regional agreements. This scholarship opportunity was advertised by the Northern Cape provincial government in 2016 and continues to be advertised yearly.

Kenosi was accepted to do a Master degree in Public Policy for the duration of two years, 2018-2019 at the University of Sydney (USYD). An interesting fact is that the majority of Australian leaders, both in the private and public sector were schooled at USYD. The acceptance of the scholarship, as exciting as it was, came with some sacrifices. She was required to move and stay full-time in Australia for the two years leaving behind a young family (husband and children) at home in Kimberley, South Africa.

She successfully completed her degree end of 2019 with an overall distinction (Cum laude). Kenosi is back with us in the office, she commenced her duties at the Office of the Premier (OTP) in January 2020.
