Director General; Advocate Justice Bekebeke invited all the staff at the Office of the Premier to attend a general staff meeting which was held at Horseshoe Motel in Kimberley on 26 February 2019.

The Office of the Premier has embarked on a process to change to an approved organisational structure since 2017. The purpose of the meeting was to provide the staff with an update on the progress made with regards to the implementation of the said structure and to seek input from all the staff members. This stems from a need to disseminate clear and accurate information and set all superfluous fear and anxiety aside.

The staff engaged in the process with robust and constructive input which management will heed in the decision-making process which leads up to final implementation. There will be open and ongoing communication and consultation with employees, organised labour and stakeholders.
