1. The public is advised to monitor the South African Weather Service (SAWS) for any significant changes in the weather forecast
Kindly note that the South African Weather Service (SAWS) has warned of disruptive rainfall expected over southern and western Mpumalanga, Gauteng and the western Bushveld of Limpopo, as well as the north-eastern parts of the North-West Province today, February 2021. A disruptive rainfall is also expected over the eastern and central parts of the Free State ,Northern Cape as well as over the eastern parts of the North-West Province, resulting in localised flooding as well as difficult driving conditions.
South Africans are therefore advised to monitor the SAWS Facebook page (@WeatherServic), Twitter @SAWeatherServic and the SAWS website (www.weathersa.co.za<http://www.weathersa.co.za>) for any significant changes in the weather forecast and updates to the warnings especially in the next week due to the high soil moisture content that can cause flooding with not much needed rain.
