Dear Colleagues October is the month commemorating MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS. As we near the end of the year, many employees are complaining of feeling exhausted, tired and having a loss of motivation. Many are reporting feeling either anxious or stressed out. It is important to take a moment and reflect on whether your symptoms are simply physical exhaustion or whether it can be ascribed to stress or burn out. The mental health awareness month is drawing to a close but awareness of these issues should remain a priority for all in the workplace. Please find attached two documents on Burn Out Syndrome. More information and articles on this topic are available if needed. Please contact the Employee Health and Wellness unit should you need more information, intervention and/or appropriate referral to a specialist.
