Volunteer to Participate in Work-Life Balance Research Study

 

The Employee Health and Wellness (EHW) Unit will be conducting interviews and focus group discussions as part of a larger research project to develop work-life balance guidelines for government employees. The research is supervised by Dr. C. Erasmus from the University of the Western Cape. The Director-General approved that the interviews and focus group discussions be conducted in the Office of the Premier. The research was further approved by the university's Ethics Committee.

The EHW Unit herewith, kindly request your voluntary participation for this research. Participation will be completely confidential and participants will be provided with an information sheet on the research and will have to sign a confidentiality form.

The research will consist of:
A) 3 focus groups with level 3 - 8 employees. The groups will consist of 8 - 10 employees per group.
B) 20 interviews with level 9 - 12 employees (supervisors and managers).
C)10 interviews with level 13 - 16 employees (senior managers).

Please submit your names to Ms Liezl Anthony (lanthony@ncpg.gov.za) should you wish to partake in this study. Your experience and input will assist in the development of work-life balance guidelines for government employees.

The dates of the different interviews and focus groups will be communicated by next week.
